About Hector Hector Zapata was born in Colombia and has made South Florida his home for the past 24 years. An Industrial Engineer by profession, Hector worked as a Plant and General Manager in Bogotá’s Graphics and Publishing Industries before relocating to the United States in 2001. He later pursued his love for golf, becoming a PGA Golf Professional and founding the Bonaventure Golf Academy. After nearly 15 years serving clients in the golf world, many turned to him not just for lessons, but for advice on where to live, especially in South Florida’s golf course communities. In 2014, Hector transitioned into real estate to serve his clients more fully. Today, he specializes in Luxury Properties, Golf Communities, and Divorce Real Estate across South Florida. Having personally gone through a divorce, Hector understands the emotional and financial complexities that come with selling a home during such a challenging time. Known for his compassion, discretion, and professionalism, Hector provides divorcing couples with clear guidance and tailored solutions to help them navigate their unique circumstances. His mission is to make the process of selling a home during divorce less overwhelming, ensuring his clients can move forward with dignity, clarity, and peace of mind.
