CHAPTER 8 How To Price and Market Your Home
Now that you've gotten your home ready to sell, it is time to consider how the home will be marketed. It takes great skill and knowledge to maximize the marketing and exposure to the greatest number of buyers and their agents. The purpose of this book is to provide insight and guidance on how to sell a home quickly and for the most money. Previous chapters put a heavy emphasis on the dos-and-don’ts of getting a home ready for the most effective presentation, and discussed determining the market value. This chapter is about what to do after those steps have already been made, and it is time to go active with your marketing, whether you are going it alone, or working with an agent. As you know, your home is unique. There is no other exactly like it. Part of the challenge is identifying what are the most sellable features of your home, what kinds of buyers will be looking at it, and then creating a marketing plan that targets the most most buyers who would be likely to love your home.
