one of the parties involved could take on additional expense or get a different, less-beneficial rate. When that happens, no one is happy, and it makes the agent and the lender look incompetent. That’s why communication is of the utmost importance. If you ever try to reach me with a question about a loan, a question about a closing date, or anything else during the closing process, I will always get back to you as soon as possible. I reply to emails; I reply to calls; I reply to your texts. I even reply to your Facebook messages as quickly as possible. If you have questions, I get back to you. I answer and let you know what’s going on, from origination to closing. You may not choose to work with me, but whomever you choose to work with, you want to make sure they are a lender who keeps you updated. You want to work with someone who lets you know what’s going on, lets you know if they need anything additional from you immediately, and quarterbacks the process smoothly along to the scheduled closing.
CONSEQUENCES OF AN UNCOMMUNI MMUNICATIVE LEADERS
I always seek out ways to do a better job for the Realtors® and real estate agents whom I work with. In doing so, I have learned things to avoid. I asked some of the Realtors® I work with for their worst lender stories in order to improve my own service and ensure I never repeat those errors. Here’s a real-life example out of my own experience of why it’s so critically important for your lender to pay particular attention to communication throughout the entire process from origination to closing.
