"The River of Change er of Change"
“The moment you decide to no longer think the same way, act the same way or live by the same emotions, it’s going to feel uncomfortable. And the moment you feel uncomfortable, you just stepped into the river of change.” "When it comes down to it, there are two ways to approach our lives: either as the victims to our lives, or the creators of our lives." "In the classic placebo effect, our belief lies in something outside of us. We give our power away to the material world, where our senses define reality. But can the placebo also work by creating from the immaterial world of thought and making that unknown possibility a new reality."
Dr. Joe Dispenza
I'm sharing this quote at the opening of this book, because I've lived it. Filing for divorce, going through separation, and selling the family home forced me into changes I didn't ask for — but still had to face. And I learned fast: if I kept thinking the same way, reacting the same way, and doing the same things, I'd stay stuck in the same pain and problems. The uncomfortable part wasn't a sign something was wrong. It was proof I was finally doing something different. Divorce will test you emotionally, financially, and mentally, but it also gives you a choice. You can let it define you, or you can decide it will refine you.
