Cheryl A. O'Brien The Architect Realtor - THE SECRET OF WEALTHY HOME SELLERS

LUXURY

Add a little luxury throughout the home. Anyone that has ever been to a spa has experienced the feeling of wrapping up in indulgent fluffy white towels, robes and slippers. Display these to add a lux feel to your bathrooms. Some rolled up towels, nice soap or lotion dispensers, or fancy soaps are wonderful accessories. Spa it up! The bathroom should appear barely used and invite feelings of rejuvenating for the day. The owner's suite bed should be adorned with high quality bedding and pillows. Display a tray with an ice bucket, bottle of champagne and gold goblets. Toss a silk robe across a bench at the end of the bed. Get creative! The room should feel like the buyer just entered a luxury hotel room for a weekend getaway. Super cozy fluffy crisp white comforters work as well as plush thin modern bedding. Make sure there is no clutter in sight. Secondary bedrooms should have clean and crisp bedding. A "bed in a bag" set that is relatively inexpensive, is a great investment to replace "well loved" bedding. Keep it simple and enticing. One great teddy bear on a bed conjures up love for a child, while a family of stuffed animals is something a buyer does not care to see.

A LITTLE SECRET - CANDLES!

Use candles generously to accessorize to sell. We all have a relationship with candles. We blow them out every birthday; our own special day reserved for just me. We hope to reach the elusive 100 year candle on our cake of life. We associate candles with romance and love. We adorn our holiday and dinner party tables with candles. We light candles for a relaxing and meditative evening to rejuvenate. A hot bubble 51
