Joanne Hodge - A GUIDE FOR SELLING HOMES FAST FOR TOP DOLLAR

CHAPTER 15 Safety During COVID-19 State and local governments have instituted safety rules for showing homes during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

As your Realtor, I'll explain them to you. In a nutshell:

- Most of the work can be done "virtually", by email, Zoom meetings, and electronic signatures. - Buyers should view photos and the virtual tour online first, before scheduling a visit. - no more open houses, buyer visits are by appointment only AND buyers and their agent must submit a Property Entry form beforehand. - In this form, all parties note that they cannot enter if they are experiencing symptoms, have tested positive for the virus within the last 14 days, or been in contact with someone who has. - All parties acknowledge there may be risks in entering a home. - All parties agree to sanitize hands/wear gloves, wear a mask, and refrain from touching surfaces unneccessarily while in the home. - Seller are advised to keep a bottle of hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, by the front door. - An advisory sign will also be posted near the front door, reminding buyers, inspectors & their agents of the rules. I stay up to date on the rule changes, and advise my clients accordingly.
