After the inspections, you’ll receive a report on the state of the house. The report will contain suggestions on future maintenance or repair steps or the need for additional expert opinions — for example, a structural engineer, should the inspection disclose faults in the building structure, or an HVAC expert if the furnace isn’t in working order.
INSPECTIONS, INSPECTORS, AND COMMON MISTAKES
There are different types of house inspections available. General or residential inspections will observe and give an evaluation of the house elements and systems.
RECOMMENDED INSPECTIONS FOR BUYERS
Home Inspection A limited, non-invasive examination of the condition of a home. Home inspections are usually conducted by a home inspector who has the training and certifications to perform such inspections. The inspector prepares and delivers to the client a written report of findings. Septic Inspection Entails the close examination of all accessible components of the septic system. Typically, a video scope is done from the outdoor line to the exit point in the house. The tank is then accessed from the outside hatch and a video scope is done from the tank line to the septic field. This ensures that there are no blockages, the lines are clear and there is no water sitting in the pipe. Water Flow Test The water flow is tested to ensure the pressure is sufficient and all water pumping systems are working. As well as to make sure there is sufficient water supply for all of its occupants.
