Gregory Hammer - HOME SWEET HOME

About Greg Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, Greg started Real Estate in 2006. With a degree in finance, many people were concerned with his choice of direction. Starting with a national builder, the interviews were intense, and training was called Bootcamp. During the 8-week training program, every week the group of 12 was evaluated and many were dismissed. By the end of the 8 weeks, only four survived. Greg thought to himself with a huge sigh of relief that he finally made it. Well, 2008 rolled along and he realized he wasn’t out of the weeds just yet. After mergers and layoffs, the sales team got reduced by 90% from the 2006 peak. Agents that didn’t want to adjust to the constantly changing market burned out. This story perfectly sums up the kind of agent Greg is, and the type of agent he continuously strives to be for his clients. Greg was taught at a young age that if you want something, you must work for it. So that’s what he did. And he worked hard. Greg was raised in Prior Lake with 3 siblings. As a child, Greg had aspirations of being an Optometrist. In retrospect, he realized it was that his eye doctor made him feel so comfortable and that's why he wanted to be Dr. McDonald. He never thought he’d stumble into the real estate industry in a million years, but you can’t always predict where or when you’ll discover what you’re meant to do in life. With a last name like Hammer he should have known better. As the years went by, Greg worked his way from Bob’s Produce Ranch to John Thomas Realty, never wavering in his resolve to become the best version of himself with each career move. He set out to make the process about the buyer or seller. Other than death and divorce, real estate is the most stressful time of someone's life. Making the right decisions is important, and there isn’t some magical handbook. Greg always tried to understand the next step. Every clients' needs are going to be different but providing insight and understanding of their needs
