About Phyllis Phyllis Shurn-Hannah has over 30 plus years of experience in human resources, real estate, management, sales and marketing from working in Fortune 500 companies such as GE Capital and Sears Roebuck. And she has worked in many states including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Minnesota and her home state of Michigan. She founded a million-dollar Company specializing in staffing and HR consulting in Blue Bell, PA prior to joining Tehe Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM staff for 15 years as a regional field services director). She is currently a Realtor in the Las Vegas, NV area focusing on first time buyers and people going through divorces or other life transitions. Phyllis is the past president for the Greater Valley Forge Human Resource Association (GVHRA). She’s also held a seat on the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and chaired various committees. She is a past member of several local Chambers of Commerce in the Greater Philadelphia area and involved in several of their “Leads” groups. She also had active involvement in the local OIC, National Assoc. for Women in Personnel, United Way Allocations Committee, United Way Focus Chairperson, Lincoln University Advisory Board, Minneapolis YMCA Board Member, and served as a Better Business Bureau Auto Arbitrator. She has been published in various national and local magazines, newspapers and websites on topics ranging from recruiting, diversity, and work/life programs. She has attended and taught various management courses. She is now exploring a career in real estate using the skills she has in relocation, personal real estate investments, and a desire to encourage and guide individuals to enhance or starting new real estate investments.
