Buyers, including the ONE Best Buyer, are bombarded with visual and tactile stimuli when they see photos of or enter a home. The eyes catch the amount of light, the colors, the shapes, the textures in a home. The buyer's whole body, whether in person or via imagination, is evaluating whether a home is right for them. Not just the brain. If the logical part of the brain were in full control, then buyers would always choose homes from a catalog. An orderly and tastefully staged home will appeal to these base instincts more readily than an unkempt home or an empty home will. Especially to the ONE Best Buyer. Even simple things can make a big impact on the final sale price of a home. Staging done well is one of those things!
You have two options for staging a home:
• Option 1: Do it yourself. Learn how in the following chapter. • Option 2: Hire a professional home stager. If you’re considering hiring someone to handle your staging, contact me for a list of references. I’d be happy to share recommendations and send you information on stagers who will do a good job for you.
POINTS TO REMEMB O REMEMBER:
• Staging has been documented to increase a home’s selling price. • After a home is staged, it’s important to take high-quality pictures that show results to the best effect. • You can learn to stage a house yourself, or you can hire a professional to do it for you.
