The reality is that searching for and buying a home involves an entire process that includes many steps and pieces that need to come together before you can declare the home “yours,” make the move, and settle in. This chapter provides you with an overview of the entire home- buying process, including home searching, breaking it down into 12 basic steps that you should follow, along with your agent, to get things moving. Beyond that, in further chapters, we will go into more detail and greater depth, just to make sure you have all your bases covered.
