You want to be able to get to your new house while there’s still light outside for ease in unloading. Make a specific timetable if you decide to do the move with a U- Haul. Include everything you would be doing in preparation for your move. If you are proceeding without professional help, you may even want to ask for advice from people you know. Their moving experience will provide tips on what to avoid and areas of preparation you may have overlooked. Whether you make your big move with professional help, family and friends, or yourself, preparation and organization are key. You might have asked for all the help you can get and hired the best movers. But, without your involvement in planning and organizing, you won’t be able to keep track of everything that needs monitoring and preparation.
SETTLING IN
It’s probably after 11:00 p.m. by now, the first night in your new place. Pizza boxes are stacked on tables that are not yet positioned. Soda and water bottles stand guard in the eerie quiet of unfamiliar surroundings that feel like home. You’ve got days of settling in yet to make this your home. But good job for getting to this point! And welcome home!
I hope this Home Buyers Guide was a help in your home-buying journey. Please feel free to let me know if I can help you with any of your real estate questions.
