Remember the discussion on staging? It is no secret that selling your house, especially during or after a divorce, is not easy. Along with prepping the house for the listing, and getting the house showing-ready, there are often a million different emotions running through your mind at any given time. You might feel: • sad

• nervous • excited • worried • hopeful • ready • not ready • wary • relieved • amazed

You might feel none of those emotions, or you might feel them all at once. When readying your home to show to potential buyers, you must encourage them to visualize living in the home, but not YOUR home. Selling your house is hard. Especially when it still feels like home. You can’t just erase the memories you made there. You can’t just forget. And you wouldn’t want to. However, if you have gotten to this point, you are probably selling your house for a reason. You have to remind yourself of those reasons. Here are a few coping mechanisms that might help
