A masonry crew will build the footings of your new home, and then electricians and plumbers will need to lay electrical and plumbing groundwork beneath the stem wall (the part of the foundation that connects to the structure) so building can continue. 3. The frame of your new home is built. After the foundation is built, the framing of the house comes next, including the frame for the roof, also called the trusses. 4. More electricity, plumbing and additional wiring are added.
