Tony pitching in a Major League Spring Training game Facing Tony Gwynn, Jr. When he finally got out of baseball he went back to UF and finished his senior year. He was immediately hired to be a Financial Planner for athletes, first with Merrill Lynch and then with MAI where he is a Wealth Advisor, Director and Certified Financial Planner with an incredible list of clients. Funny HS story, Westminster was in the playoffs with Coach Rich Hofman, Coach of the Decade, 1,000 wins at the helm. Our best pitcher was having a rough start. Hofman pulled him after the second inning and put in our closer, unusual move! All of the players fathers were lined up behind the screen complaining out loud that Hofman was out of his mind to make such a move. They turned to me and asked what I thought? I said "Hofman's the best coach in the entire country and I pour concrete for a living, what the heck does it matter what I think!
