they’ll go to you for their future needs when buying or selling a home. Above all, remember, if you try hard and stay committed, you’ll make it. I guarantee it! Sometimes it will take a little bit more work and a little bit more struggle. But once you get going, real estate is an extremely rewarding career. If you’re willing to work harder than you’ve ever worked in your life for six months to a year, you can get your business, and you’re going to love it.
BUILD YOUR BOOK OF BUSINESS
When starting out, you’ll want to do anything you can to bring in new customers. A lot of agents struggle with the fact that they’re competing with other agents who are more experienced. Just start where you are and give a large clientele time to develop naturally. All you need is one or two customers who will put their trust in you and say, “You know what? I’m willing to work with you to help me buy or sell my house.” You just need to convince one person to take a chance, and that will lead to credibility, experience, and confidence that you know what you’re doing, and you can help them.
MAKE BEING NEW AN ADVANTAGE
One of your biggest challenges as a new real estate agent is overcoming the belief that “No one will work with me because I’m new.” When you’re talking to prospective clients — or anyone else, really — about your real estate business, don’t position yourself as “I’m brand new. I don’t know what I’m doing.” Position yourself as, “I’m brand new. I’m excited about the real estate business. I’m not worn out. I’m not jaded. I’m highly motivated, I’m innovative,
