Rodell Jefferson, Associate Broker - FOR SALE BY YOU: THE ULTIMATE GUIDE

friend to take a sniff. • Keep temperatures comfortable.

• Be flexible about appointments. You don’t want to lose a sale because you didn’t want to show your home during March Madness games. Also, be prepared to schedule showings on weekends and “bank holidays,” like Veteran’s Day. • Be friendly but not chatty. Buyers don’t want to waste their time hearing your life story. They do want to hear how your home will meet their needs. After your initial pitch, put on a smile and offer to answer questions. • Know as much about the neighborhood as your home. Be prepared to answer questions about schools, crime, nearby shopping, homeowners associations, and community activities. It’s also a good idea to know the annual cost of utilities, HOA fees, and taxes.

HOW I CAN HELP: I’ve shown hundreds of homes. I will:

• Attend all open houses (and showings, if you prefer) • Point out the best features of your home. • Follow up with agents to get valuable feedback.
