Sign-in sheets: They don’t have to be fancy, but your sign-in sheets should ask visitors for their name and contact information (cell phone or email address). Keep plenty of pens on hand, because they will disappear. Brochure: Make it on your computer, but make sure it contains all your home’s vital details and a contact number for you. Get rid of kids: Send them on playdates or to Grandma’s for the day. Kids get underfoot and distract you and clients. Be prepared: Know the answers to questions about taxes, schools, shopping, trash pickup, recycling, utility costs, and neighbors. Follow up: Grab the sign-up sheet, and follow up with visitors. Ask for feedback, and try to determine if interested folks have the buying power to purchase your home now.
