About The Author Chris was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, but was raised throughout Florida, New York, and Connecticut. He spent most of his youth in foster care and aspired to be either a police officer or a social worker. He never thought he’d stumble into the real estate industry, but you can’t always predict where or when you’ll discover what you’re meant to do in life. Chris was taught at a young age that if you want something in life, you must work for it. So that’s what he did. And he worked hard. Chris lived in Miami, Florida in foster care until he was about 12 years old. After meeting his biological father for the first time, he thought this was his saving grace and that his life was finally changing for the better. After living a year in New York, his father uprooted him and his 5 siblings from the Bronx to Stamford, CT. Chris began his work career at age 14 as a caddie at Woodway Country Club in Darien, CT. He used the money to help pay rent and keep his family afloat, but at age 17, tragedy struck again, and he and his siblings were sent back into foster care. He decided rather than be anchored by his adversity, he would channel it and focus on being as successful as possible so he could leave behind what his biological parents failed to: a legacy. In his junior year of high school, he was adopted by his AP English teacher and wrestling coach and was given the guidance he never thought he would receive. Chris focused on his studies while working part-time jobs and in his senior year, he received a full-ride scholarship to the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania.
