Replace or clean gutters. The gutters on most homes are easily damaged by the weather. It is advisable that you clean them out and make sure they look as nice as possible, but if that doesn’t seem to be enough, replacing themmay be the better option to consider. Fix the stoop or porch. Buyers will spend a considerable amount of time here looking around when they want to come into your home. Ensure that your porch is sound and that there are no wobbly railings or missing blocks. Peeling paint, unsteady or uneven steps, or accumulated detritus are all off- putting and should be fixed promptly. Redo the walkway or driveway. If your walkway or driveway is broken or there is unwanted vegetation around, it is wise to fix the cracks and kill the weeds. Do whatever it takes to make your driveway look new, whether that means ordering some more gravel, having it resurfaced, or whatever the appropriate treatment is for your particular driveway. Replace siding or repaint the exterior. If you believe your home needs a new look, one nice and budget-friendly step to take is to give it a new paint job. If the paint is peeling off or fading, you can either do a full new coat or simply patch things up and refresh the trim, depending on the situation. Siding can be replaced relatively easily, but if your house has stucco or other such coating, you will likely need to hire professionals. Remember to paint your front door with a pop of brighter color to highlight it and make it more attractive in contrast. Your flowerbed should be livened up. Get rid of debris, and trim overgrown plants. Flowers with colorful arrangements should be added to give your home a chic look, and tacky decorations should be cleared.
