Dona S. Cardenas - Embracing Freedom: Downsizing Your Home, Elevating Your Life

About Dona Born on a military base in Seville, Spain, I was 8 months old when we moved back to the States. Growing up in South Louisiana, my mom moved back home when my dad passed away and that is where I grew up and lived until I graduated from college. With my diploma in hand, I left Louisiana to discover the world which started as just a visit to Atlanta, Ga. 35 years later I'm still here. In those years, I have worked as a certified paralegal and I've also worked in the sales and marketing industry. I did enjoy the work but life had other plans for me. In 1995, I got my real estate license and after a few years in the business, I sat for my broker's license. 25+ years later I have helped hundreds of clients in all price ranges, from first- time buyers to those downsizing, including helping the families of loved ones who've moved on. I like being a resource for my clients and knowing they can trust me to be honest and helpful no matter what their final decision is. When not working, I have two teen boys that I homeschool and two rescue dogs, Molly, a 50lb Labradoodle, and Sally, a 10lb YorkiePoo. We love to travel and try new foods. I love doing anything outside but my heart belongs to the water. I enjoy racing as a crew member on sailboats on Lake Lanier and the boys, and I enjoy scuba diving. One day I will own a catamaran and spend my days sailing around the Caribbean and beyond.
