About Barb Brooks Barbara Brooks was raised in New England with 2 siblings. As a child, Barb had aspirations of being a decorator. Never in a million years did she think she’d stumble into the real estate industry, but you can’t always predict where or when you’ll discover what you’re meant to do in life. Barbara was taught at a young age that if you want something in life, you have to work for it. So that’s what she did. And she worked hard. As the years went by, Barb worked her way from waitress to union shop steward and EDDM representative at the Postal Service, never wavering in her resolve to become the best version of herself with each career move. Barb Brooks got into the real estate industry 18 years ago when she wanted to help others working long hours find an ambitious agent who worked evenings and weekends too . She set out to work with buyers and sellers starting with her own postal service collegues and with word of mouth her career grew. As her career advanced, Barbara found her stride working with foreclosures/investment properties/resales. She’s an expert in pricing strategies PSA/security and online marketing E-Pro. Throughout her career, Barbara has earned numerous accolades, including: • 2019 Platinum Award with 12.8 Million in sales • Best of Zillow • 55 neighborhoods representative, consecutive top performer within RE/MAX Palm Realty's 3 offices in Venice,Murdock and Port Charlotte, Florida. Barbara lives in Punta Gorda, Florida with her daughter Tawnya Demers. In her free time, she enjoys dining out, bicycling, kayaking, remodels, plays, plants, and the beach.
