The flickering light switches were warning them of the outdated wiring which had to be replaced. In the end, their $10,000 savings only helped to give them a bit of consolation when they paid $27,000 for all of the remodeling! Again, a good home inspection would have uncovered these deficiencies however their realtor was obviously only out to earn a commission and not take care of his clients. Lesson... make sure you are working with an experienced agent who regularly handles buyers and not just sellers.
