Heidrun Gross - HOW TO SELL HOMES FAST FOR TOP DOLLAR

very busy with many people milling about, catching bits of each other’s conversations, and infusing potential buyers with a sense of urgency. When holding an open house your agent should not make the same mistake most lazy or incompetent agents make – just sitting at the kitchen table hunched over their cell phone or laptop, after telling a potential buyer: “Let me know if you have any questions. I’ll be right here if you need me.” Hosting an open house is a sales job. It is an opportunity for your agent to escort buyers through your home and point out its best features. In particular, your agent should explain to buyers the aspects of the home that convinced you to buy it, and why you have been so happy with your decision. A sign-in sheet should be provided which includes a request for the buyers’ name and contact information, as well as a place for them to indicate whether they are currently represented by a real estate agent. If they are, but their agent is not with them, the buyers should also provide their agent’s name and contact information. If they are accompanied by an agent, be sure the agent leaves a business card. Prepare a fact sheet about your house that buyers can take with them. Include information regarding the surrounding area such as parks, shopping, schools, restaurants, hospitals, etc. If you are hosting the open house yourself, be sure to add your agent’s contact information in case buyers have questions later.
