HOWTO HANDLE COMMON PROBLEMS CHAPTER 14

The world of auto insurance can be complicated, but there are some issues that pop up more often than others. Read on to discover what they are and what to do if they happen to you. PROBLEM: You can’t get a hold of your adjuster. SOLUTION: If you are unable to get a hold of an adjuster, you need to reach out to your agent to let him or her know so he or she can reach out. The agent can call the adjustor to see what the hold up is, and 99% of the time, the insured will get a phone call the same day after the agent has reached out. Sometimes, it just takes the agent calling to get the ball rolling. This is also a part of the customer service aspect of our job. Also, for any claims questions or issues in general, the insured should always speak to the adjuster, since they are the ones handling the claims and paying them. Of course, as agents, we are here to help as much as possible, but we do not determine coverage or payouts in a claim, so that is why always speaking to an adjuster is important.
