Covers the cost of towing your car to the auto shop. Towing and labor also covers mechanical breakdown, delivery of gas, oil, loaned battery or change of tire. Sometimes, depending on the company, it will also cover locksmith services, as well as lodging expenses and air bag replacement. UMBRELLA INSURANCE: Secondary insurance used if you go over your main liability limits. UNDERWRITER: The person who decides what your premiums will be. UNDER-INSURED MOTORIST (UIM) COVERAGE: Covers your bodily injury and/or property damage when the other driver’s insurance coverage isn’t high enough. Bodily injury coverage is UIMBI and property damage coverage is UIMPD. UNINSURED MOTORIST (UM) COVERAGE: Covers you if the driver doesn’t have any insurance, if the driver doesn’t have enough insurance, or it’s a hit-and-run situation and they can’t find the other driver. Pays for medical costs, pain and suffering, and lost wages for you and your passengers.
