Sphere of Influence Guide-Authorify

Most importantly, teachers and parents will start to know and recognize your name if you supplied  the school with supplies for the kids.

When you talk to the school about your donation, they'll understand it's your way of marketing and  shouldn't have a problem with it.

They will most likely be excited for whatever you are willing to give.

Sponsor a PTA meeting or event.

Another great idea for getting to know families is to sponsor a PTA meeting or event and provide  dinner or finger foods.

Get to know the parents when you are serving or passing out the food. Talk to them about how  important it is for you to see the school succeed.

That should be true, of course, since the better the schools in your area, the better the housing  market will be.

Remind parents you really do have a vested interest in seeing your area's schools thrive.

So naturally, a big part of that is the PTA. Help them out and show appreciation for the group.

The parents are going to know you and come to respect you for your support.

Then, when they are looking to buy or sell a home, you'll be the agent they think of.

Of course, your hope is that a few are selling soon, but treat each parent as an important part of  your sphere of influence, regardless.   Throw a back-to-school client event.   A lot of parents are going to be in a celebratory mood this month as they send the kids to school and  get their adult time back during the week. A picnic or cookout to take advantage of the end of the  warm weather could bring out a lot of your previous clients and even potential leads.

Don’t force the conversation to real estate too often but be ready and willing to answer any  questions that come up. Encourage questions about the market.
