Traffic, no parking, no space, outdated structures, nothing good around the office, and no amenities are things that make people not want to come to work. The opposite of that are things that make people want to go to work. A move can change your culture. You may need a culture change for other reasons. Maybe you had a massive turnover and the new staff were introduced to bad working habits. For whatever reason, fixing it sooner than later is extremely important. What better way to do that than to start your culture over fresh in a new office that you have full control over? Sometimes a new restart like that is all it takes. The physical environment you work in has an effect on your company’s culture, and a fresh new office can translate that feeling into your culture and employee engagement. A positive and happy culture could be the most important thing in an office. A move may help you regain that if it had been lost. Your office can serve as a way to do this. Consider game rooms or common areas to help the cause. YOU ARE SICK AND TIRED O CK AND TIRED OF DEALING WITH L G WITH LAZY LANDLORDS This is another obvious one but companies don’t take action against this enough because the tenant must build a case to void the lease. If the landlord doesn’t live up to any part of the lease, the tenant has a right to void the entire thing after tracking the landlord’s misdeeds for a few months. It’s a lengthy process. Usually, the company will just wait out the lease and look for another property.
