Ben started a non-profit organization, CRC Boxing Council with the help of City of Columbus Park and Recreation Department's Boxing Program. As President, Mr. Scott tirelessly promoted and fundraised for the kids in the Amateur Boxing Program creating opportunities to travel and compete, improve equipment and pay for USA Amateur Boxing memberships. Pioneers of Columbus Boxing should never go unrecognized. Those who are no longer with us include: Bill Cummings, Ron Williams, Ed Williams, Melvin Steward, Dick Leary, Dynamite Bill Douglass, and many other heroes who are not mentioned here due to time and space. Benjamin also taught high school Technology. He became a S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Advisor. He also started a high school mentoring program. Before the closure of TICO, an Ohio Department of Youth Services Facility, Mr. Scott served as the Chairman of the Advisory Board. Ben was also asked to serve as Assistant Director of Boxing for the Arnold Classic and worked with Jim Lorimer (Arnold’s Mentor) to obtain major sponsors for the Classic. Mr. Scott got into the Real Estate industry after retiring as an educator with Columbus City Schools. He set out to help people start and expand their own family legacies through property ownership and wealth building. As his career advanced, in Real Estate, Mr. Scott found his stride working with Sellers, First Time Home Buyers, Real Estate Investors, and Real Estate Divorce and Probate matters. He is a skilled negotiator and holds several Real Estate Certificates of Expertise.
