In 1999, William acquired his first home. However, as his family expanded, he deemed it necessary to procure a more capacious residence. Considering that his first home was a pristine, newly- constructed property, he resolved to dispense with the services of a realtor. Regrettably, after a protracted period of five months without success, he enlisted the aid of a realtor. It took ten months for the house to finally sell. Unbeknownst to William, selling one's own home is an arduous task. After factoring in the expenses for two mortgages, taxes, and sundry costs, the sale of the home only yielded a net amount that barely covered the expenses. This book was authored with the purpose of assisting readers in the sale of their own homes, with the added bonus of saving on realtor commissions. William is a seasoned resident of Houston since 1977 and a licensed Texas Realtor®. He has been happily married since 1999 and is a proud father of two children. Following 14 years of operating his restaurant, he managed to pay off his home and decided to procure another one. Furthermore, he discovered that he enjoyed helping people with their real estate requirements and became a licensed realtor hoping to prevent them from making the same mistakes he did. Presently, William is part of a massive team of 950+ agents within a brokerage comprising a total of 86,000 agents and growing fast.
