Meet Mery

Decades ago, when Mery Rodriguez sought to purchase her first house in Miami for herself and her young son, she lacked the necessary skills and knowledge to adequately accomplish the task. Fortunately, Mery learned from her mistakes, and her resulting decisions defined a new life path: she placed buying her first house on hold and earned her license as a Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Broker. Today, Mery has a thriving Real Estate business, assisting First- Time Buyers as well as Investors in a rapidly changing market. After becoming a Realtor, Mery relocated from Miami to Broward County, where she could put her bilingual skills to more frequent use. She purchased her first house and sold it afterward for a sizable profit, which spurred her to flip more houses and work with more investors. In 2005, Mery opened a mortgage business, which she was able to sell prior to the 2008 crash in a savvy financial move. After working as an Asset Manager for a federal loan association during the recession — and gaining invaluable perspective to share with clients — Mery resumed her role as an agent and became a Real Estate Broker, now based in Palm Beach County. She explains her clients are of a “particular sort” — many of them cannot buying right away; many have questionable credit; many are still renting. Mery shepherds her clients through the processes of “cleaning up their finances” and realizing the goal of homeownership, thus gaining their trust, loyalty, and eventual referrals. Though friends and family have suggested pursuing a more luxury market, Mery cherishes helping the everyday client. “The reward is in their gratitude — in being invited to their homes and
