About The Author From Wall Street to Your Street — Chris's Journey to Helping People Build Wealth Through Real Estate Chris grew up on the white sands of Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota, Florida before heading to the University of Florida, where he earned his degree in Finance. While at UF, he served as a teaching assistant for several courses including business law. During his college internship he originated his very first mortgage. Chris's passion for financial markets ignited during this time, and after he earned his degree in Finance, he entered the world of Wall Street. After earning his Series 7 and market-making licenses, he cut his teeth as an equity trader, and then as a bond trader / financial advisor at Morgan Stanley. He trained at one of the most respected firms on Wall Street with his branch managing over $3 billion in assets. Chris specialized in fixed income and asset management graduating #1 in his training class. Five years later, Chris transitioned to the buy-side, helping a hedge fund grow from 4 to 40 traders and becoming their top performer. Next, Chris launched two trading firms — one with a partner, and one as a solo founder. Chris's niche was IPO investing, which he later carried into the early crypto markets in 2017. In Chris's spare time, he co-founded and financed a medical clinic, which later expanded into multiple locations. Then came COVID. While rising interest rates dried up the IPO and trading strategies he had built his career around, Chris took time to reflect, spend time with his family, and strategize his next move.
