It keeps coming up time and time again: to save money. Depending on the service used, the commission fee for a real estate agent’s services generally ranges from 5% to 7% of the total property sale amount. In order to avoid this, some people try to sell their property on their own in the hope that it will allow them to save some money. Unfortunately, they forget that agents are trained to do this for a living and know all the special tricks and skills to do it right. It is their job, and at the end of the day you’d be hard-pressed to find an amateur—no matter how enthusiastic—who can be relied upon to outdo a trained, experienced professional.
