Adriana Hagerman, REALTOR® - SELLING THE UNSELLABLE HOME

Before they even step inside, buyers make a snap judgment, and it starts at the front door. If your knob jiggles or the key sticks, fix it. If your door looks like it’s been through a few rough years (or storms), give it love. Quick Wins: • Upgrade to a sturdy lock and handle. It says “secure and cared for.” • Paint your door—yes, color is allowed! Go bold if it fits the house. • Metal door? Faux paint it to look like wood. Yes, that’s a thing. • Dead plants? Toss them. Empty pots are sad. Fill them or hide them. CURB APPEAL: LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT We’ve all judged a book by its cover—and buyers are no different. If the yard looks meh, they assume the inside is worse. That’s just how it goes. • Is your lawn trimmed? • Are bushes tamed? • Any peeling paint or rusty railings? • Porch light working? Mailbox standing proud? You’re not aiming for Southern Living. You’re aiming for “Hey, I’d love to see more.” Walk Across the Street and Look:

THE POINT

You don’t need to spend a fortune. You just need your house to feel clean, loved, and move-in ready, or close enough that buyers can visualize the glow-up. Do the simple things. Show buyers
