Here are a few suggestions for tasks pertaining to different roles:  Marketing, Social Media:   Ask the candidate to enhance photo(s), write a few social media posts and explain how they would  improve your online presence.   Client Contact:  If you are hiring an assistant to speak directly with clients on the phone or in person, it’s important  to know more about their professionalism and “people skills.”   Provide them with a hypothetical issue a buyer or seller might come to you with, give them a link to  whatever you think should educate them on the topic, then ask them to respond to you as if you  were the client.   You can have them respond via email, or if they will be speaking to clients on the phone, have them  call you or record themselves responding to the customer.   Here is one example we’ve used:   Hi [Candidate name],  Let's move forward.   Here is a quick test task. This is to test out your ability to do quick research and answer a client's  question. This should take no longer than 30 minutes to complete.  I recently received this question from a seller who has a home listed with me::  Hi, I noticed on Zillow that a house on my street is currently listed at a higher price. Do we need to reconsider  the price we are asking?  I am attaching a link to the page on Zillow that they included.   Please email ME (not the client) how you would respond to this and why.  Should You Pay Applicants for Test Tasks?  It’s important to decide whether you’ll pay your applicants to complete your test task.
