If you know where you’re moving, there’s a wealth of information literally at your fingertips. Find out as much as you can ahead of time by using online sources. Here are some suggestions: • Facebook, Reddit, Instagram and Twitter - Social media provides lots of information and community. Join a few groups and find whatever accounts intrigue you. Don’t forget to search for the city’s hashtags and main accounts, such as chambers of commerce or tourism departments. • Websites that specialize in location - These days, a lot of “place-focused” websites exist, from livability to city data and more. Do yourself a favor and visit a few. • Online publications - Read up on the city and find out more about what goes on by scouting online versions of their magazines and newspapers. You might also want to subscribe! • Videos on YouTube - I filmed a video as an overview on
living in Plantation, and another on development in Plantation, and plan on doing many more. Check out YouTube videos done by real estate agents on the area you're considering. Some provide great detail, some provide pros and cons.
