And to complicate matters, we were fussy buyers who were also not entirely clear on their Needs, Wants & Preferences at the onset, plus we suffered somewhat from the “champagne taste with beer pockets” syndrome as well (to be honest!). All of this is evident from the fact that we ended up retracting from two successful offers (through no fault of Blake’s) before we finally settled on a 3rd one. And as insult to injury, the house that we ended up buying was in pre-foreclosure with the divorced Sellers having filed for bankruptcy protection (without disclosing this fact to anyone of us!). This resulted in a dragged-out, nail- biting, touch-and-go closing process… In the end, and through Blake’s persistence and careful navigation, we got the house and are extremely happy with it! Plus it came with 8% equity on Day one - what a pleasant bonus in an aggressive Seller’s market! Why bore you with all these details? To demonstrate that our engagement with Blake was certainly intimate over an extended period of time. We got to know him in a variety of situations that very few of his other clients would probably ever experience. Blake has excellent local knowledge since he knows the areas, schools, ISDs, house builders, etc. very well. He can also provide one with a pretty accurate assessment of a house’s value since he does a lot of home valuations for Banks as well. What struck us most though, is that throughout the entire period it ALWAYS felt as if we were Blake’s ONLY clients (even though we know he had, had others at the time as well). We enjoyed personalized attention with utmost integrity and professionalism from the day go: he would take our calls virtually any time of day, any day of week and always did his best to accommodate our viewing schedules. He answered all of our questions (and believe me, Engineers tend to be very analytical!), did a great job at educating us and
