What was your background before getting a job with Authorify? I have my degree in Business Administration from Southern Polytechnic State University. Before coming to Authorify, I worked for 7 years at a company called Landmark Properties that specialized in Student Housing development. I was their controller for property accounting. Before that, I worked at other small property management firms. Has your background helped you in your current Authorify role? I think it is. It has given me a really good basis for accounting that I’ve been able to apply here. Also, because I have experience working with a company that was small and grew to be very large, that helps me identify areas of improvement within Authorify more easily. What is your current Authorify role/what do you do? My current role is Controller. I am responsible for the company's accounting and human resources. This entails things like making sure our employees get paid, reporting monthly financials, ensuring we are capturing revenue correctly, making sure outside vendors are paid, and a lot more! What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife, watching TV, playing video games, and going on walks with our dogs. I am also an avid bread maker. I enjoy golfing and working in my yard. Simple things like that! Is there anything else you want people to know (family members/pets, hobbies, talents, etc.) I have two dogs and two cats. The dogs' names are Oscar and Sibby. They are both mini Australian shepherds. The cats are Bash and Tiffin. They are domestic long-haired black cats. As I mentioned, I am a big gamer – so if there are any gamers in the company send me a message, I’d love to play something with you!
