Introduction
I gained business experience as a manufacturer's representative in the field of packaging and distribution for the first half of my career and have successfully navigated the waters of small business employment and corporate life as well as business ownership. I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and believe that property ownership, real estate, and home ownership are the pillars of a strong economy. Why real estate as a career? My passion for real estate was re-ignited when helping in the purchase of a home for my daughter in the city of Holland. My daughter experienced some unethical and unreasonable conduct from a seller which was condoned by the realtor. I decided that there was a place for a Christian businessman who "acts justly, loves mercy, and walks humbly with God. With a recent move to a condominium and a lot less outside and maintenance work to do, I decided it was time to start working on a "Mid-Life" career. This was our last move with over three houses purchased and sold in the last 25 years. As a real estate "consumer", I have experienced it all- purchasing our first home in Grand Rapids, building two homes- one in the city of Hudsonville and one in the country outside of Jamestown, selling three existing homes and working with different real estate models and different real estate agents. As we helped our daughter purchase a 1925 fixer-upper bungalow from the estate of an older lady.
