About Jeff Jeff was raised in Hickory with 2 siblings. As a child, Jeff had aspirations of being a professional baseball player. Never in a million years did he think he'd stumble into the mortgage industry, but you can’t always predict where or when you’ll discover what you’re meant to do in life. Jeff was taught at a young age that if you want something in life, you have to work for it. So that’s what he did. And he worked hard. As the years went by, Jeff worked his way from Catawba Valley Mortgage to Security National Mortgage, never wavering in his resolve to become the best version of himself with each career move. Jeff got into the mortgage lending industry 27 years ago when his baseball career was not obtainable. He set out to be a license loan officer at the early age of 19. Once he had some experience in the mortgage industry he fell in love with helping people. He now works from the motto: PEOPLE before profits! As his career advanced, Jeff found his stride working with seasoned agents and their firms. Jeff loves helping people achieve homeownership. He is an expert in communication, lending guidelines and helping the client pick the best loan avenue for them.
