About Barry Sharif Barry offers an extensive background in finance and mortgages. Beginning in 1996, he started his finance career in the credit card division for HSBC in Virginia. Diligently working his way up, he eventually transitioned over to a large National Mortgage Company in New York where he slowly worked in many roles starting from a loan officer to branch manager, area manager and finally to a regional manager, where he oversaw 43 branches in 9 States. This experience has allowed him to see the industry from nearly every perspective possible: loan officer, underwriter, executive positions and as a mortgage trainer. He has trained thousands of loan officer throughout his career. “I am very passionate about what I do. I genuinely care about my clients, and I always put myself in t lf in their shoes. I ask myself this question, if this was my family member would I do this loan for him? If my answer is yes, I wholehearted present the solution. I am not a pushy “in your face” salesperson. I give my customers different options that fit their needs and I let them pick and choose what is ideal for them. I give my expert opinion but at the end of the day it needs to be the loan that fits their needs”. When not at work, Barry loves to spend time with his wife and their 5 children. He loves their pet dog Knight and the cat, Venice. They believe in giving back to the community and volunteer for a local food bank and a homeless shelter.
