5. Why would clients trust you with the largest purchase they’ll ever make? Why would they hire you? Because I’ve been there like them, as a first-time home buyer before. In spite of me the “Miss know everything” we eventually found, loved and bought our first home. Then when we were ready to sell that home, we realized that the part-time agent we worked with missed informing us some crucial aspects of the home that was important to the home’s resale value. Even as a third, fourth or fifth time Buyer or Seller of real estate, unless you’ve been doing this full time and for many, many transactions and situations, you’ll never be fully prepared. Smart engineers, physicians, CEOs or attorneys try not to do things they’re not well versed in and instead call in an expert. Why would even they do things themselves, when it comes to real estate, which is one of the biggest investments they may have? I say other people should do what they do best and are paid for it, and let Realtors® do what they’re experts in, and be paid for it.
