About Barbara Barbara was taught at a young age that if you want something in life, you have to work for it. So that’s what she did. And she worked hard. Barbara was raised in Washington, PA, a small town just outside of Pittsburgh, and has one sister. Her father worked in the coal mines and her mother was for the most part a stay at home mom, working part time in the private school she attended. As a child, Barbara had aspirations of working in broadcasting or journalism. In her teens, her family relocated to Delta, Colorado where she graduated high school. Never in a million years did she think she'd stumble into the real estate industry, but you can’t always predict where or when you’ll discover what you’re meant to do in life. Through the years Barbara worked her way from a receptionist at a real estate company, to a mortgage loan processor to a Relocation Counselor for a national relocation company, never wavering in her resolve to become the best version of herself with each career move. Barbara got into the real estate industry more than 25 years ago when she decided rather than be the Loan Officer who visited real estate agents weekly, she wanted to be the real estate agent out selling homes. She was originally licensed as a real estate agent in 1990 where she hung her license with a boutique real estate office in Libertyville, IL and eventually moved to Allen, Texas in 1998 where her career took off. As her career advanced, Barbara found her stride working with everything from first time home buyers and sellers to listing and selling distressed properties for some of the country's largest real estate investors and lenders (primarily foreclosures).
