CHAPTER 18 Surprising Questions to Consider Before Leasing e Leasing

Once you sign a lease there’s no going back. While I’ve already covered some factors to consider before signing an office lease, there are still some questions you should ask before agreeing to a lease. Some of this is just going back and double-checking your terms and any changes to them that have been made. Some of these questions are looking at your space from other people’s point of view. Regardless, take some time and make sure you like the answer to each of these questions before you sign a lease. I know a lot of preparation goes into signing a lease but that’s because it is a huge decision on many different levels for you and your company.

If you were a visitor, would you know where to go?

You don’t want clients or customers to come and get lost in a maze of hallways. Make sure there is signage or a clear path that gets them right to your office. If you’re on a higher floor, make sure the elevator isn’t hard to find. Also, make sure that visitor parking is clear and easy to find. You don’t want them driving around for parking either. These are tiny details that will drive clients nuts.
