Will the market support a multiple offer or will you list at market value? • Preparing the home for sale/staging - Are you hiring stagers or doing it yourself? If you are hiring stagers, who is responsible for arranging this? If you are doing it yourself, who is doing what? • Showings - What timing will you allow showings to take place? What arrangements are there for children and/or pets? • Offer presentations - Where will offers be presented? What time? Do you want a condition of lawyer approval on your offer? What is acceptable regarding closing, conditions and price. • Real Estate Lawyer - Who are you going to use and who decides? • Once the items are discussed, I recommend submitting the plan to your lawyers for approval/input. Sometimes a lawyer may raise a concern near the end of the deal that could have been more easily dealt with earlier on. CASE STUDY John and Ann were discussing their plan with me to move ahead with their divorce. We realized that Ann worked from home and had virtual meetings that required privacy.
