the money is there to care for the neighborhood. It is needed for repairs, replacements, improvements, and ongoing maintenance. Without sufficient funds coming in, a neighborhood will go downhill. If you are interested in buying in a Community Association, I would suggest taking the time to read the Governing Documents, looking at the annual budget and making sure the Association has adequate reserves in their account for major upcoming repairs. You might also drive through the neighborhood at night and on a weekend to see what it’s like is when more people are around. All neighborhoods are different. All governing Documents are different. If you want to be sure about what you’re getting into, ask a professional so that you 100% understand what you’re signing up for!
