CHAPTER 12 Selling a Home Out of State
Under normal circumstances, selling a home can be a challenging mission. Whether one is selling to upgrade one's location, number of rooms, or features, downsizing to a smaller home as “empty nesters,” selling an estate property, or selling a second home, the process is not an easy proposition. This book is full of some of the challenges. The situation is more complex if you must sell the property from outside the state, as in the scenario of a home sold to settle an estate or because of an employment relocation. However, the intimidating issues connected to out-of-state selling can be tackled and eased once you adopt some success strategies and implement some thoughtful practices. A few bothersome issues connected to selling the home from out-of-state might include that empty homes invite property and maintenance costs.
