First impressions are key. Think about walking into a home that is cluttered, has personal photos, consists of furniture that doesn't fit the space, feels small, or doesn't flow. What is your first impression? Your attention focuses fully on the current owners and how they live. At this point, you are immediately distracted from the reason you are there and the property itself. Once you move past and begin looking at the living room, kitchen, and the rest of the home, you have lost the vision of yourself living there. You never feel warm, comfortable, welcome. It is difficult to picture your own furniture and decor in the home. Unless you enter a part of the house that really reaches out to you, there is a chance you will never experience that this-is-the-perfect-home- for-you excitement.
