on. This way, you’ll already have them in place once you move in.
Three Weeks Before the Move:
• Get your boxes. Every move requires boxes upon boxes! You might have some in storage from a previous move, but if you don’t have many, ask people you know if they might, or go to a local grocery store or moving company and ask for used boxes, or purchase new ones if the price is reasonable. Then, get out the boxes and start packing the items you won’t be using in the coming weeks. Label the boxes with the room to which the items belong. This will make your unpacking process systematic. Make a list of the items that go in each box. • Finalize your moving plans. Decide on whether you’re going to hire a moving company to help you or if you decide to do it yourself. If hiring, now is a good time to finalize the details of your big move. Don’t forget to enlist the help of family and friends. Let them know when they can come and help you with packing, or with unpacking. • Update personal documents. Update all your personal documents that include your address. Notify your employer, banks, and insurance companies of your change in address.
Two Weeks Before the Move:
• Clean. Tidy up and thoroughly clean every room
