• Talk to your moving crew. Contact your friends and family who offered to help with the packing and moving, and inform them of your schedule.

One Week Before the Move:

• Confirm moving details. If you’re hiring a moving company, contact them to confirm details, such as time of arrival and pickup. • Create a timetable for moving day. This timetable should include items like time to start loading boxes, where/when to stop for lunch, estimated time of arrival at the new place, etc. Doing this will give you a sense of what to expect and prepare for on the day itself. • Finish packing. If you have it, enlist the help of volunteer family and friends to finish packing all your things, leaving behind only the essential items you’ll be using every day. • Check your boxes. Double-check that all your boxes are properly packed and numbered, as well as color- coded by room, if possible. This will help you in the unpacking process. Be sure there are labels on both the tops and sides of the boxes. • Prepare a snack bag for moving day. Bring lots of water and high-energy food to sustain your strength while moving. • Clean your appliances. This includes your fridge, stove, and oven. Also make sure most of the food in the fridge will be consumed by moving day. • Check the utilities at the new property to ensure
